It’s Contest Time!!!
Well, it’s that time again. Time to start school, time to get back into the routine, “wash that grey right outta your hair”, and time for another contest. (For those of you who don’t know the “wash the grey” song, google it. It’s a blast from the past!)
While brainstorming about this contest I thought back on all the fun ones we’ve had. Ugly school photos, glamour shots, pet photos and my favorite, worst Christmas presents. Let me just add that being creative takes a lot of energy. And being a momma of 2 kids, who are now both in school as of this week (Thank goodness!) I’ve had to seriously focus all of my energy on an awesome contest. So, in advance, you’re welcome. 🙂
So, without further ado, (I love being able to use that word) the new contest will be……………………phone pictures!!!! I know, brilliant, right!?!? Thanks! I thought so too!
We ALL have cell phones. I would venture to say that most of us probably take a photo of something at least once a day. I just got instagram (and yes, I know I’m behind the times. I’ve been busy going to Carowinds and the pool this summer) But oh how I love it. It’s way more fun that just the regular camera. And if you don’t know what I’m talking about, google it and get on board.
Here are a few examples of what I photograph…..
Why would a photographer use her phone to take her daughter’s first day of school photo!?!? Because I was half asleep and my phone was beside me. 🙂 Maddie (2nd grade) and Beau!
For the little man, I completely forgot to photograph him at home so he had to have his taken in the van right before he got out of carline. Nothing like waiting until the last minute! 🙂 Bennett (K4) and Jackson!
This was my first shooting range target. (After the owner handed me a gun I could handle.) I think I did pretty good. Needless to say you don’t want to mess with me in a dark alley. 🙂
Now this photo needs an explanation. You see, I grew up going to Panama City Beach Florida. THE redneck riviera. I HAD to get an airburshed t-shirt every year because it was the cool thing to do. Now that I’m a grown up, I’ve passed this lovely tradition on to my kids, much to my husbands disdain! Since I’m a bit too old to be wearing a t-shirt, I decided that a beach towel was the perfect way to show my love for him. Don’t you agree!?!?!? And yes, I did prance around the beach with this draped across my shoulders for all of the world to see. 🙂
What’s good for the goose……well, it’s not always good for the gander. 🙂 So, while shopping for shells, my precious, laid back, easy going, funny husband tapped me on the shoulder and this is what I saw. And when I tell you that I did NOT recognize him, believe me, I didn’t. This may be my very favorite prank that Kyle has ever pulled on me. 🙂 Remember, keep laughter in your marriage, no matter how you have to get it! (And notice how blurry it is because I was laughing so hard I couldn’t hold the phone steady! 🙂
So, enough of my crazy life.
Here are the rules:
EMAIL (please don’t tag me or text me the picture, I need it emailed) me a photo you have taken with your phone. (No p&s cameras) ONLY PHONES! firstname.lastname@example.org
I will post all of the images to my facebook page by tonight at 11pm.
You must send your friends, family and those fb friends who you are really not friends with, to my facebook page. FIRST, have them “like” my page!!! Then tell them which photo is yours and to click “like” on that photo. They must like me and then the photo! 🙂
The winner will be the photo with the most likes. Obviously. 🙂
Voting ends Saturday night (after Alabama beats Michigan and Clemson beats Auburn) at midnight.
The winner will receive a fun photo shoot with me, with my real camera, not my iphone. 🙂 You can choose to either have the disc OR I’ll give you a 16×20 Float Wrap. For Free! It’s that simple!
You must have photo shoot done prior to the end of 2012.
Good luck and thanks for participating!!!
