Mr. & Mrs. Jeff Williams

Meet Jenny and Jeff, my latest couple to tie the knot.

Jenny is not my typical bride, see, I know her a little better than most.  Jenny was my intern this past summer.  We met and I immediately liked her!  She studied Photography and Graphic Design at North Greenville University and wanted to shadow me on weddings to learn more about what photographers do on a daily basis.  During this time we became friends.  Great friends.  Jenny is one of these girls that is just sweet, all the time.  And she is real.  She was such an encouragement to us while Kyle’s mom, Cindy, was sick.  She too lost her dad 2 years ago to cancer.  So, she not only was sympathetic, but also empathetic.  So, to just say we are friends is just scratching the surface.

When she began to plan her wedding, I asked her who she wanted to photograph her wedding.  When she said me, I was not only surprised but honored.  It’s one thing for someone to love your work from far away.  But for her to know me and work with me and want me to photograph her wedding, was such a compliment to me.  🙂

Her wedding day started out so cloudy.  I was so concerned because she and Jeff wanted to do a first look.  (What’s a first look, you ask?  Well, it’s when the bride and groom see each other before anyone else.  Most of my brides choose to wait until they walk down the aisle to see their grooms.  Either is perfectly fine with me, but I will say that I do LOVE it when brides choose to do a first look.)  So when I arrived at the church to see Jenny all fresh faced, getting ready to put on her makeup, I could tell by her attitude that NOTHING could spoil this day for her.  Jenny had zero expectations of me on her wedding day except for me to do what I usually do.  The only ideas she had were a peach orchard and field beside their church and an antique sofa.  The rest she left up to me.  I was so excited!  The fact that she is a photographer and trusted me to do whatever I wanted, was so much fun for me.  I’m not sure who had more fun at her wedding, Jenny or Erin and I! 🙂

I know, I’ve written far more than usual so I’ll get on with the amazing photos!  Thank you Jenny and Jeff for choosing me!  I was so honored to be a part of your PERFECT day!  I hope you are having a wonderful time in St. Thomas!  And a huge thank you to Erin for 2nd shooting with me.
